We’re packing the bags.  Phase Two of the vacation is a trip to South Lake Tahoe.
 
This is a less strenuous schedule, by choice.  We will leave tomorrow morning.  It will probably take five or six

We’ve decided the summer is too short to have only one trip.  So, we will head out again next week.
 
In the meantime, we got caught up on yardwork, housework, and relaxation.

again... and Harley wants to get out of the garage for a while.
 
Considering the state of the economy, and the resulting high prices for hotels, we decided against a long trek this summer.  The temperature in Redding has been above 100 degrees for the past couple of weeks, so Las Vegas is out of the question for the moment.  So, we will point the bike north and see how far we get.  The ultimate objective is Victoria in British Columbia, but we will actually choose our route day by day.  If we get to Seattle and turn around, so be it.  That would just leave more days to spend on a second trip next month!
