Heading South

Today was uneventful.  We had coffee at the hotel and talked to a man on a beautiful BMW motorcycle about his travels.  He’s retired, and loves riding cross country.  His wife is a teacher, and will be flying to Montana to meet him.  Solo riding works for him...

We spent a couple of hours visiting with our friend Vickie in Salem, then continued to our stop for the night in Roseburg.  By the time we were on the road for an hour or so south of Salem, we seemed to have finally got ahead of the rain -- and the temperature got warmer.

After a great dinner and blackberry cobbler at Elmer’s, we kicked back and watched TV.
